WordPress footers (such as sidebars) use widgets (unless your theme includes custom or alternative footers). Simply go to Appearance > Widgets to make the change.
Just like the sidebar, if your theme includes customization options for footer columns, styles, copyrights, etc., you may find them under Appearance > Customize > Footer or in the Customize Theme panel.
