Your WordPress menu (or navigation) should contain links to key pages or posts on your site. From the WordPress dashboard go to Appearance > Menus. From here you can create, edit and assign menus.
- Create a menu:Click on the blue link “Create new menu” and name the new menu.
- Add/remove menu items:Use the options on the left side of the screen to add your published pages, posts, categories and tags, or use the custom link option (great for linking to other sites). To remove an item from the menu, simply click the “Delete” link on the item.
- Specifies the menu location:After adding the link to the menu, use the Menu Settings section at the bottom of the page to select the menu location. These locations depend on your WordPress theme and where the theme defines them (header, top bar, footer, etc.).
